Firearm Transfers (non-NFA)

Bought a handgun or rifle online or from another dealer? Have it shipped to me, then come in for a quick appointment to complete your paperwork and take it home the same day.

$35 per firearm. No hidden fees.

How it works

1. Order your firearm and choose Jerry Nines as your receiving dealer. Email me if the seller needs a copy of my FFL, and I’ll send it right away.
2. Send me the details (seller name and what’s being shipped) so I can watch for it and avoid delays.
3. Book your appointment after I confirm it has arrived.
4. Complete your paperwork. You’ll fill out ATF Form 4473, and I’ll run your background check at the appointment. Most checks finish within minutes. If one is delayed, I’ll tell you what to expect.
5. Take it home once the check is approved.

What to bring

• A valid government-issued photo ID with your current address. If your ID doesn’t show your current address, bring a second government document that does.
• Your order confirmation or the seller’s details.
• Payment: [Cash, Venmo, or Zelle]. Payment is collected at your appointment.

You must be legally eligible to own the firearm. Federal law requires buyers of handguns from a dealer to be 21 or older, and buyers of long guns to be 18 or older. If you’re not sure whether you qualify, ask before you order.

Good to know

• Out-of-state buyers: Contact me before ordering. Transfer rules for out-of-state buyers depend on the type of firearm and state law.
• Shipping: Ask the seller to ship only to my FFL address, which I’ll send you after you contact me.
• Buying an NFA item (suppressor, SBR, SBS)? That’s a different process with different fees. See my NFA Transfers page.

By appointment only. Please don’t stop by unannounced. This is general information, not legal advice.
